I Wish

'I Wish' is a concept made in response to the refugee crisis, the pieces invite contributions.

'I Wish' was exhibited in The Gloucester Cathedral Cloisters as part of the 2016 Impress Festival. The general public wrote and crammed their wishes into the holes in the fames.

The 'I Wish Installation' is a fence/wall made of paper. The idea of having a fence or wall made of paper is such a contradiction. It's nothing substantial, just a fragment and people added their wishes to the installation wall on parcel labels. Sometimes thoughts and wishes can help things change. The fences and walls I chose to include in this installation had many personal connections for me and also in collaboration with others.

Artist Shelly Campbell provided thought provoking stamps. Poet Dennis Gould preformed poems about Greenham Common in response to the installation at the Lansdown Gallery.
